Summer update

Here are some things I’ve been working on during the summer. The first one is a music video for canadian band Broken Social Scene. Forced To Love is the first single from their latest album, Forgiveness Rock Record and was directed by Alan Poon and Adam Makarenko.

This is the same music video with and without compositing and vfx to show what my role was on the project.
Also I’ve been doing some web design and coding for my friend Ileana Rodriguez (reclu). The site will launch sometime this week, but you can see a sneak peek here
Last but not least, I’m working on a couple projects that are still on development and will post sometime next month. One of them is a logo animation for a film studio that will be used in the upcoming movie This Is Not A Movie.
This is an initial ink animation test and some 80′s logo treatments that I’ll start animating soon.
Festival Internacional de Benicassim in Polaroids

Camping at 28 is definitely not the same it was ten years ago… but it was definitely worth it. The FIB is held each year during the month of July in the seaside city of Benicassim Spain, just a few hours away from Barcelona or Valencia. The four day fest had an attendance of over 127,000 and 100 bands.

This month I had the pleasure to work with the people at Kung Fu Studio on the trailer title designs for the upcoming feature film This Is Not A Movie by Olallo Rubio. This Is Not A Movie is Olallo’s second film and it stars Edward Furlong, Peter Coyote and new music by Slash.

Last month I moved to my new apartment back in Mexico City and since I couldn’t find any furniture that I like or would fit my budget I decided to design it myself (with some inspiration from contemporist.com)

While taking about industrial design, I really recommend the documentary Objectified by Gary Hustwit if you haven’t watched it.
