This term on print class I decided to challenge the brief and design a book using Photoshop to create all the elements and InDesign to set a grid and the overall layout. The idea behind it was to make a book to help a friend of mine in Mexico raise funds to direct his first feature film. All the book is in spanish (sorry for those who don’t speak it) but you can still give an idea of the design and the use of grids. The book covers different aspects of the movie, such as synopsis, casting and characters, storyboards, visual references and compositions, art direction, among other things. DVD Authoring - Intro Movie

This short clip is an intro movie for a dvd we had to design in 6 hours for the dvd slam. The shortfilm is called REPROCESS and was made on the Film Department at VFS. I worked on this project with Tim Clayton, Vincent Van Haaff and Amber MacKay. All the images used are from the actual shortfilm and we did a fast pace edit using straight cuts and playing with a plugin called Twitch.

This is my final project for the Motion Design 3 class that I did with Nicolas Alexander and Amber MacKay. We spent most of the time this term working on it and finally it’s finished, so take a look at it.
This is the animatic of the infographic that shows the process from the original storyboard to the final piece.
We created a new website for the piece where you can see it on high quality and also see the creative process behind it on the blog, where we’re posting different aspects of the process and tutorials showing how it was made.

This is my interactive design project for term 3. The idea behind it was to design an interface that allows you to bookmark, organize into collections, share and watch videos from different sites across the web.

Motion Design 3 - Title Sequence

Due to time constraints and the fact that I spent most of the time this term working on my infographic, I came up with the idea and created this title sequence in a couple days. For this piece I used Final Cut to make all the editing and then I made a color correction and added some grain texture in after effects.
3d Target Animation

This is my final piece for the 3d class. The objective was to match the look of a target ad and since I’m not very good at 3d and didn’t have a lot of time to work on this project I did something fairly simple and used different camera angles to make it more interesting. The audio is from the original ad and I only added some effects when the targets fall.
